On this episode, we discuss testing and treatment protocols of individuals after experiencing a traumatic brain injury. Dr. Brandi Boan was kind enough to share her time and expertise with us. She currently practices neuropsychology in the Western suburbs of Chicago.
Brandi K. Boan (PsyD) obtained her doctorate in psychology at Alder School of Professional Psychology. Her areas of focus are neuropsychology, individual therapy, child and adolescent psychology, and forensic psychology. She completed her predoctoral internship at Elgin Mental Health Center. She completed her postdoctorate experience at Mathers Clinic and Associates in Psychiatry and Counseling. She has over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. Early in her career, she was employed as a clinical director for a non-for-profit agency, as well as a counselor for young adults and teens diagnosed with a chronic mental illness. She continues to do individual and family therapy with patients of all ages.Dr. Boan offers range of behavioral, emotional, cognitive, and neuropsychological assessments for children and adults. She completed her neuropsychological training at Rush University Medical Center, Elgin Mental Health Center, and Maryville Scott Nolan Psychiatric Hospital.
